BIOGRAPHY
Skylar Eads is a dancer, actor, and vocalist working across classical ballet, musical theatre, film, and live performance. Originally from Georgetown, Kentucky, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Classical Ballet at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA). At age fourteen, she was accepted on merit scholarship into UNCSA’s highly selective high school ballet conservatory and continued directly into the university’s undergraduate ballet program following graduation. Her early training includes Kentucky Ballet Theatre, Bluegrass Youth Ballet, United Fine Arts Academy, Lexington Children’s Theatre, and the University of Kentucky’s ACE Program.
Skylar has performed principal and soloist roles in productions including Flower Festival, Paquita, and The Nutcracker, and has appeared in works by George Balanchine, Claudia Schreier, and Endalyn Taylor Outlaw. Her classical training, musicality, and expressive stage presence have enabled her to perform a wide range of repertory while developing a strong foundation in storytelling through movement.
In addition to her dance career, Skylar is a trained actor and mezzo-soprano whose work spans theatre, film, and vocal performance. In 2025, she made her New York City debut as a vocalist in Pickles: On Broadway at 54 Below. Her screen credits include Swan Lake: Cancelled, directed by Garen Scribner and Dani Rowe, and Burn Me, directed by Sophia Parker. Whether performing on stage or on screen, she is drawn to character-driven work and brings a thoughtful, emotionally grounded approach to each role.
Beyond performing, Skylar is an accomplished choreographer and educator. She has created original choreographic works, developed narrative movement for ensembles, and collaborated within demanding production environments that blend artistry and discipline. As an instructor, she has served as assistant choreographer and faculty for youth dance programs, taught private lessons, and worked with dancers ranging from beginner to pre-professional levels.
Skylar also brings experience in immersive entertainment, having worked as a Character Performer with Gleam & Glow Princess Services and completed the Disney College Program in 2024. Following her graduation from UNCSA in December 2026, she plans to pursue a professional career across dance, theatre, film, and musical theatre, continuing to connect with audiences through movement, storytelling, and performance.
